Darker Than Black, AKA Kuro no Keiyakusha is a 26 episode action sci-fi anime featuring unique superpowers, wielded by beings known as 'contractors'. It reminded me a lot of western comic-book fiction, like Batman and X-Men. But it still remains unique and has a plot with mystery in addition to a varied cast of characters to make it stand out.
